Nigeria's Agriculture Minister is African of the Year.

Dr. Akinwumi Adesina.
At a time when most news about Nigeria seems to be negative, here is something positive. Dr. Akinwumi Adesina - Agriculture and Rural Development Minister has been named African Person of the year by Forbes Magazine for his efforts at reforming the sector. Forbes Africa editor Chris Bishop was quoted to have said that ."He is a man on a mission to help Africa feed itself,"

Accepting the award, Dr. Adesina said he wanted to help people become rich through farming. "My goal is to make as many millionaires, maybe even billionaires, from agriculture as possible," he said in his acceptance speech.
