Ira Curry, a grandmother from Stone Mountain near Atlanta, Georgia who
bought a last-minute lottery ticket has been revealed as one of the two winners
of the $648 million Mega Millions jackpot. Mrs Curry, work for an insurance firm,
bought one of the two winning tickets - a last-minute decision using a combination of her family member's birthdays and what she called her family's lucky number - 7.
She realized she could be the winner while driving to work and heard on the radio that a person in Georgia had won. She has selected a single-payment option, and will receive her portion of the winning, worth about $120 million after federal and state taxes. The other winner from California has not step forward yet.
