lower Manhattan Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 for his first visit to City Hall as the
mayor.

The
new mayor of New York - Bill de Blasio assumed office Wednesday as the city's
109th mayor. In what has been described as a “big deal” by many, Bill is the
first democrat in 20 years, to takes oath of office at City Hall. As part
of his campaign promises, he has vowed a quick action to steer New York
"in a new progressive direction" so it can become "a fairer,
more just" place.
You may be wondering why I posted this or what the significance of the news is. Well, he took public transportation to work.. - can any politician in Nigeria do this? - (They are too big or too scared. Wishing him a successful tenure as the mayor of world most famous city.
