Imagine a retired 80 year old woman in Conegliano, in the Veneto region - northern Italy, was robbed of her entire pension because she was told that her bank notes contains "deadly virus".

Two young women claiming to be government officials reportedly called at her house, they were dressed smartly, and "smiling and courteous". She was told that her money contained "highly dangerous virus" which could trigger a fatal reaction. They insisted she hand over any notes so they could decontaminate them, confused, she obliged and the women fled. Police are now on the hunt for the two female after the retiree reported the matter to police.
