The symbol of freedom and former President of South Africa is dead. He was 95 years old. Nelson Mandela's death was announced tonight by the current President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma. Mandela was a symbol of unity for a country that went through years of apartheid, elected as president in April 27, 1994, and inaugurated in May 1994 as the
country's first black president. May his soul rest in Peace.
