He was the 11th prime minister and ex-general of
Israel, who embodied Israel's military might. Ariel Sharon has died, he was 85 years old. He
had been in a coma at the Sheba Medical Center near Tel Aviv for eight years
after suffering a stroke in 2006.
Sharon was nickname “The Bulldozer” early in his career
because of his reputation for stopping at nothing, he was feared by the Arabs
but respected by Israelis for his toughness and patriotism, especially when he
turned defeat into victory over Egypt in the 1973 October War.
